18th Annual ‘Christmas Crusade for Kids BEGINS!

NNY listeners & businesses to help North Country Families this holiday season!

WATERTOWN, NY - November 10th, 2025 – The ‘TUNES Team’ from Intrepid Broadcasting, Inc.

(WBLH) is ready to begin their 18th Annual ‘Christmas Crusade for Kids’, running now through December

15th, 2025. Each day on 92.5 & 104.5 FM, a team member/DJ will be asking North Country listeners to sponsor

local children’s wishes LIVE On-Air, Online, and In-Person all holiday season long. Wishes will come in the

familiar form of ‘angel cards’ provided by longtime community partners, the Salvation Army of Watertown,

Community Action Planning Council (CAPC), Catholic Charities, Watertown Urban Mission, and the Toys for

Tots program.

Local children’s wishes will be read aloud on-air and posted on various social media platforms with a universal ‘call to action’ to sponsor or donate. We’ll be asking our community members to sponsor those wishes, ensuring that the requested present will be delivered to the NNY family in time for the holidays. 2024’s campaign saw North Country radio listeners of TUNES 92.5 & 104.5 FM successfully sponsor over 1,200 NNY families and the gifts their children requested.

About ‘Christmas Crusade for Kids’

The ‘Christmas Crusade for Kids’ program is an annual charity campaign wherein radio listeners are solicited to help NNY families get their children’s Christmas wishes sponsored and fulfilled through physical gift shopping and/or monetary donations. The program works in conjunction with local non-profit organizations.

Tunes Tools for Schools

If you’ve stopped in to one of our local JRECK SUBS locations lately to grab your hometown favorite sub, you may have noticed the brightly colored posters asking ‘North Country’ residents to think ‘back to school’ donations between bites.

For a 14th year in a row, the team at Intrepid Broadcasting, Inc. (TUNES) joined forces with JRECK Subs to collect assorted school supplies for our local school districts, teachers and especially our local students and parents that could use the assist. It seems like that ‘back to school’ list grows longer each school year and NNY families are oftentimes stressed trying to get it all ‘checked off’ in time for those 1st day photos. In fact, our teachers go into their own pockets more often than we’d like to think! It’s because of those needs that our team is pleased to announce the results from our 2019 campaign!

NNY Bridal Showcase

Tunes 92.5/104.5 and the Mead Family present the 34th annual NNY Bridal Showcase, Northern New York’s largest and longest-running bridal show. Save the date for Sunday, January 11th, 2026, 11:00am to 4:00pm. The 2025 show will take place at the Salmon Run Mall in Watertown. Brides and grooms can talk face to face with wedding experts, and enjoy mimosas and Bloody Marys while shopping and checking things off of the To-Do list. Attendees have a chance to win a honeymoon trip for two, as well as thousands in prizes from wedding professionals from all over New York.
